The hub of the restaurant, this is where the ‘Theatre of Food’ comes alive with a line-up of world class chefs stoking the fires and creating a multitude of wondrous dishes from the best and freshest ingredients available, in our open plan kitchen.
The venue is set over two floors with a capacity of 850 and boasts two fully equipped kitchens, allowing service from both levels. The main A La Carte restaurant is located on the lower level and features open flame grills and offers diverse cuisine from all parts of South Africa and beyond.
Our Executive head Chef, Stephen Boucher has carefully selected traditional menu showcasing the originality and flair of South African culture and for the more adventurous diners who are looking for a true culinary experience of South Africa; we offer game meats, such as Kudu, Ostrich and Springbok from Namibia.
Shaka Zulu is the only restaurant worldwide to be able to offer discerning diners rare British Red Poll Beef and Dorper Lamb from the Royal Estate in Sandringham, as well as a wide selection of international dishes to tempt every palate and taste.
The Shaka Zulu Lounge Bar stretches seductively over the mezzanine level of the venue offering guests panoramic views across both floors of this breathtaking venue and making it the idea location for a pre-dinner cocktail, glass of champagne or a great space to book a booth.
Guests can soak up the atmosphere and perhaps sample some casual dishes from our bar menu whilst enjoying our evening’s entertainment.
With an extensive list of classic cocktails with a twist, Champagnes, spirits, beers and the ability to offer you the UK's largest South African wine list either by the glass or bottle, you can be sure to find the right drink for any occasion, budget or taste.
The Lounge Bar offers drinking tables which can be booked in advance, although for peak days of the week priority is given to our diners and King’s Club members.
